Let's make some dark Pokedex entries!

    Posted: 21 Mar 2020 04:49 AM PDT

    Gurdurr

Due to its bulging, yet vulnerable muscles, Gurdurr is extremely paranoid. Even a paper cut could pop its veins.

    Tropius

Tropius uses its fruit as bait for children. When they get close, it quickly gobbles them up. It travels the world on its four wings in search of more victims.

    Orbeetle

This Pokemon is attributed to many cases of missing people.

    Greedent

Greedent constantly craves food, and it will not stop eating until its eventual demise. Trainers must put this Pokemon on a dieting routine if it is to survive.

    Dubwool

Many sports fans mistake this Pokemon for a ball to kick around.

    Gloom

The sap leaking out is actually essential for maintaining Gloom's health. It will die if it does not evolve soon.

    Vanilluxe

In the past, this Pokemon was targeted due to its resemblance to ice cream. They fled to the mountains out of fear.

    Morpeko

Morpeko suffers from bipolar disorder and struggles to control its behavior. Only the most determined trainers can control it.

    Torkoal

The first settlers in Galar burned coal for power. This led to a huge drop in the population of Torkoal. Eventually, the settlers ran out of coal and used Torkoal instead.

    Galarian Darmanitan

The isolation of the cold mountains forced Darmanitan to hone its skills in battle. It has no more emotion, and only exists to destroy its opponents.

Has anyone ever seen a hiker going down Mt. Chimney on RSE as you are going up on the cable car?

    Posted: 21 Mar 2020 09:39 AM PDT

I can't remember exactly which version I was playing, but I was going to battle either Team Magma or Aqua and a hiker was walking down the mountain as I was going up in the cable car. Has this happened to anyone else? Was this part of some special event? Was it possibly a glitch?

Will ash greninja ever return to the anime ?

    Posted: 21 Mar 2020 11:00 AM PDT

It'll be fun to watch ash with greninja again, greninja went with Zygarde to clear up those stuff to keep halos safe so after they're done with it greninja is free to go so it'll be really fun to see him go and meet ash in galar and battle with him

Anyone here own any Pokemon plushies?

    Posted: 21 Mar 2020 08:02 AM PDT

I own quite a few, but I'm asking because my house has bedbugs and the exterminator said if I want to keep these plushies, I have to cut off the tags and throw them in the dryer. I already cut the tags off. It pained me to do that, but I really want to keep these plushies.

My biggest fear is the plushies getting ruined because of the heat from the dryer and the spinning. I read on WebMD that they should be put in the dryer on high setting for 30 minutes. I'm worried these plushies will get ruined, but I have to do it in order to eliminate the threat of bedbugs. Again, I don't want to throw these Poke dolls away.

Has anyone ever had to put their plushies or stuffed animals in the dryer for whatever reason? If so, should I be worried that they'll get ruined?

New idea for a Sinnoh revisit

    Posted: 21 Mar 2020 11:11 AM PDT

So now that we know game freak is doing stuff such as the expansion pass now, maybe after the release of the crown tundra they reveal the final part of the expansion pass. That being a trip to Sinnoh. This could be done instead of full blown remakes. It could start off with Sonia informing the player about how there's been Dynamaxing found in another region and your sent to go see what is happening. I don't think this would actually happen like at all but it's just a cool thought that might be fun. Gen 4 remakes would be better though.

    Tips for the living dex

    Posted: 21 Mar 2020 05:48 AM PDT

I'm going to attempt to complete the pokedex in all of my old ds games to bring over to home to complete the living dex. I only have one game of each gen however so I'm going to have to work around that or try to trade for Pokémon I'm missing later. Any tips to help me get started?

Edit: also have all the 3ds games excluding the ultra series.

Why is the move metronome random?

    Posted: 21 Mar 2020 03:02 AM PDT

Hey guys I was wondering about the naming behind the move metronome. In the real world a metronome is a tool used to help one practice timing in something like music (I'm sure there's more applications).

So since the tool is essential used for precision, why did the developers name something so random after something so precise?

What’s the deal with renaming Pokémon?

    Posted: 21 Mar 2020 07:50 AM PDT

So like, I can name my Pokémon whatever I want but if I trade it it can't be given a new one. If I receive a Pokémon with it's default name I can change it once. if I receive a Pokémon with its default name but it's in another language I can't change it at all.

But what if I change the name then change it back to default and trade it? Is it still "named?" Does it reset to default name status? Will the recipient be able to rename? If I name a charmander "charmander" will it's name change when it evolves?

    Any good roms?

    Posted: 21 Mar 2020 09:10 AM PDT

I've beaten every post-game part of sword and I've beaten the main storyline and most of the postgame on Mystery Dungeon DX and idk what to do next... I'm thinking a Pokémon romhack with atleast gen 5 mons and a speed up button so grinding isn't a pain. I'm not the best at Pokémon so not like Dark Rising, but something a bit easier. Also I'm not that good with tech and things like that.

In-game team building: how do you fill up your team during your runs?

    Posted: 21 Mar 2020 10:20 AM PDT

so this might be silly, but lately as i've been playing my ultra moon, i've pondered on the most interesting and/or efficient way to get my goal of an in-game team and about how people usually do it.

my playstyle has always been having the starter as a first in the prty and then just filling up with interesting pokemons as i go along, until the next one i want to keep comes up and then rotating the old ones to the box. i think it's a pretty basic way to play, no?

but as AIs have only one to two pokemon with them in the beginning routes, i started to wonder if i could also just go around with first only my starter and so on. the idea seems a bit more fun from my usual style and i tried to find people's thoughts/experiences on the topic, but couldn't really find the right searchwords.

so! does anyone here play like this? or is there a third specific playstyle you use in your runs?
