Topic: What Pokémon Type would you add to the games, and which Pokémon would get it?

A central part of the Pokémon battling system has always been the type matchups and learning them is a first step on the path to being a great trainer. For 8 generations we have only had 3 types added and retroactively applied to certain Pokémon that fit the themes. Gen 2 gave us Dark and Steel types to put a stop to the Psychic sweeps while Gen 6 introduced Fairy types, cute cuddly creatures who could stand in the face of a Dragon type's Outrage and not bat an eyelid.

Within the community itself, there have been rumors abound about new typings with every generation, such as the long speculated Sound type and the fan favorite Light type. Neither of these rumors have come true, but that doesn't stop the hype with each release.

This week, let's brainstorm what new typings could be added to the game. How would they interact with the current type chart and which Pokémon will receive them?
