[Theme Talk] Create a new Scary Story Pokémon! Posted: 20 Oct 2020 09:00 PM PDT This is an /r/pokemon themed topic thread—look for new theme discussions on the sub every Wednesday! Check out Opinion Wednesday on the /r/pokemon Discord Server to talk in real time! Topic: Create a new Scary Story Pokémon! Game Freak has often dipped its fingers into the "scarier" side of things when designing some of Pokémon's beloved creatures. Sometimes they might take inspiration from urban legends, like Elgyem's take on alien conspiracies. Other times they might derive from European mythology, such as Primarina's resemblance to the Sirens of the sea. Heck, there are a countless amount of Pokemon that derive from Japanese monsters and spirits, or "yōkai." Regardless of where they're from, Game Freak always has something in store to make our bones shiver. But now we pass the question off to you! If you could design a Pokémon based on a scary story or legend, what type of pokemon would you make? [link] [comments] | ||
