    Pokémon NUMEL!!!!!

    Pokémon NUMEL!!!!!

    NUMEL!!!!!

    Posted: 19 Aug 2021 05:56 AM PDT

This Just In, while Browsing through Serebii looking at the Screenshots, I came across This Image of one of the Underground Areas, which includes Numel in the Overworld (Along with Sentret.)

The Importance of this is, Numel and Sentret were nowhere to be found in the Sinnoh Dex, not even in the Platinum Dex, which means we're indeed getting more than just the Platinum Dex.

    Thoughts on this?

I think the Pokémon pictures in the new Pokédex in Legends Arceus should be illustrations rather than 3d models.

    Posted: 18 Aug 2021 09:20 PM PDT

When I first watched the trailers, I noticed that the new Pokédex is obviously a book holding what is supposed to be handwritten information compiled on all of the Pokémon in the Hisui Region. Complete with the picture for a Pokémon being a piece of paper stuck in the book.

However, the actual image of the Pokémon in question is a 3d model. I really feel like they should be illustrated, similarly to the original Sugimori artowork, or something. I made a quick mockup of what I think it should look more like.

Curious what others think! The game looks super cool so far, and I'm happy to see the series move in an ARPG direction (so long as it doesn't wholly abandon the classic style), seems like it'll work well!

Edit: A few people have linked @metikyun's art of the Hisuian Pokémon and I think a Sumi-e inkwash style of art would genuinely be a phenomenal direction for that. Would really nail the feeling of a 14th century-esque, historical Pokémon game.

For the first time in about 4 years, Pokemon Fans don’t hate Pokemon

    Posted: 19 Aug 2021 12:30 AM PDT

The comment section is a disaster, don't check it regardless of your opinions on this game.

For the first time ever, Pokemon fans don't hate pokemon.

How crazy is that? That direct was so good, we managed to make it happen.

Also, if they could improve Arceus this much in just 5 months, imagine what it'll be when it (might) release in January!

The remakes are looking good, but I'm not as excited for those as Pokemon:Breath of The Wild

The show really makes you feel bad for Team Rocket

    Posted: 19 Aug 2021 08:30 AM PDT

Jessie, James and Meowth all have tragic pasts. Jessie grew up poor and has a history of failed relationships with men who mistreated her, James was a lonely rich kid with psychotic parents who keep trying to force him to marry his childhood abuser, and Meowth lost the love of his life and will never be able to become a Persian because he used all of his experience potential to learn how to speak to humans.

Being in your 20's helps you see how relatable Jessie and James are. They're both very skilled at any number of things (espionage, engineering, etc.) and despite all of this, they work for a company that doesn't value them.

[OC] Hisuian Growlithe with his Ball

[OC] I drew Basculegion thinking about his lost homies :'(

    Posted: 19 Aug 2021 06:28 AM PDT

Couldn't stop thinking of how sad a life it must be just being a Basculegion, so I had to draw the poor guy reminiscing.

Why is the shift in tone here so funny to me

Imagine Having to Have 5 Basculin Faint in Your Party Then The 6th Basculin Would Evolve into Basculegion

    Posted: 19 Aug 2021 09:13 AM PDT

I really hope this is the only way to get Basculegion without catching it in the wild. Pokémon has done weirder evolutions and I think this would be a cool and unique way to get it if they put the time to create this awesome concept into the gameplay. It would be awesome if the "dead" Basculins disappear or are "released" afterwards to show they are now Basculegion too but I think just the unique evolution would be enough although I think if they committed to this evolution it would be amazing.

How do you think water battles will be handled in Legends: Arceus?

    Posted: 19 Aug 2021 07:40 AM PDT

In the trailer, the only water battle we see is a Crobat facing a Gyrados. Crobat can fly, so it makes sense. Earlier in the trailer, while approaching Gyrados we see that Rhydon and Lucario appear to be selectable in the lower right HUD as normal. But how would it work for those land-based mon? Or even water types like Oshawott, who have a walking animation and not a swimming one.

Given the battles take place in-world (no cutaway battle), either there will be some gimmick to allow all pokes to participate in water battles (flotation device platform?) or it will be akin to Gen 6 sky battles, where only certain Pokémon are eligible to participate (such as only Pokémon with swimming or flying/levitating animations). For immersion the latter sounds appealing, but I think they'll find some workaround so it isn't so restricting.

Who do you want to see get a new form?

    Posted: 19 Aug 2021 09:44 AM PDT

Now that we now Hisuian forms and evolutions are a thing, what pokemon do you want to see an old version of? Personally I think it'd be cool to see a time-lost eeveelution (maybe a dragon type to partner with Sylveon?) maybe it's time for the return/debut of Gorochu? How about a Sudowoodo that isn't petrified wood? Either way I'd like to hear what other people had in mind for the latest addition to the roster of alternate Pokemon forms.

Sorry if anyone's already asked this but I was bored at work thinking about the new games.

Since Hisuian Growlithe is a thing, and it seems to be based on Foo Dogs, i wondered how Arcanine would look like, worked on this, hope you all like it!

This is the most excited I've ever seen the Pokemon Reddit community

    Posted: 18 Aug 2021 06:21 PM PDT

As stated, I've been around the Pokemon Reddit for years and honestly stopped checking it because it always felt so negative. Checking it today was a breath of fresh air and I'm honestly so happy that people are excited for a new Pokemon game!

Plus Hisuian Growlithe is my new favorite Pokemon.

What is your favourite non-fully-evolved pokemon?

    Posted: 19 Aug 2021 10:25 AM PDT

In all honesty, my pick is elgyem, being introduced in gen 5, I didn't really plan using one in white 2, until sometime during ORAS I saw the peak of its cuteness in pokemon amie, it was bought back in US/UM and I fully decided to use one of my team and put it in the E4 team as a beheeyem, the defense is good but its slow so I had elgyem/beheeyem hold a quick claw throughout my Ultra sun adventures, weeks after, I decided to hunt one with SOS (it went fine) and I've now decided to claim that its now won my heart despite not being fully evolved

    (Note. I also like beheeyem)

Spear Pillar isn't on the map either

    Posted: 19 Aug 2021 05:18 AM PDT

So I guess they just removed the whole endgame from the remakes as well, didn't they? I mean, if the Battle Frontier's absence from the map is "undeniable proof" that it will be absent from the actual games then the same would be true of other locations, right?

Let's not forget the Battle Frontier wasn't shown on the detailed map used for Platinum, too, and it still appeared in the game

I know most people are on edge after the relative disappointment of past entries, and I'm not saying "oh it'll be in the game for sure y'all are just paranoid!" but all this pointless doom and gloom over something that has not been confirmed or denied at all by the developers feels like deliberately looking for reasons to be upset

My prediction/rendition for Hisuian Arcanine [OC]

    Posted: 19 Aug 2021 03:52 AM PDT

Hi guys! The poke direct yesterday was really fun. The legends arceus showcase really hyped me with the game, but above all, the hisuian growlithe form really hyped me big time! Its derpy, cute and odd. I love it! (Gamefreak do love to put majestic hairs on their pokemons now dont they?) . Anyways, heres my prediction/rendition of the hisuian arcanine. https://imgur.com/a/n9bIIpE . Idea: inspired by chinese lion dragon. I somewhat envision the hisuian arcanine to be more "stuffed or chubby" compared to the kantonian arcanine. . My lore(dex entry): Due to the harsh weather of the Hisui region, the Arcanines of this region grew their furs to protect them from the harsh coldness of the region. They also learned to consume more food to help them survive on their prolonged hibernation.
