Posted: 22 Nov 2019 05:39 PM PST Imagine your first rival battle Vs Bede except he kicks your arse and demolishes you then rubs it in your face, stating that your brothers name would mean less since you're so weak. The journey becomes about YOU trying to beat Bede for legitimate interpersonal and self fulfilling reasons. You would feel more attached to Leon too, and see him as your brother instead of an awkward family friend. Your player character does NOTHING throughout the story, it's abysmal. I'm not saying we would have to literally become Hop, rather, assume his role in the story. It would be so much better. Right now I feel like a faceless voiceless nothingness when they were so close to having a very compelling story for the player, and not for Hop. This would also alleviate player issues with Hop being intrusive or annoying. Instead of him saying, "I ShOuLd HaVe KnOwN yOu HaVe MaStErEd TyPiNg" it would be Bede pissing you off and compelling you to push yourself, one of the main goals of Pokémon. Pokémon is about the trainer and YOU. I don't care about Hop, he missed the mark by 10 miles, but if we were Hop, I would love the story and it would be the Pokémon story we deserve. As you team up with the gym leaders to defeat the rampaging Pokemon they will give you their rare league card and say something along the lines of "If you ever need help, give me a call!" Yet as far as I know there's no interaction with them afterwards. I believe it would be great if we took them up on the offer and call for their help is max raid battles, replacing the RNG bs npcs we're getting right now. No more cosmic power Solrock, instead it's Nessa and her Drednaw! No more failing Wabbufet, now it's the oddly sexy Kabu and his Centiskorch! Agree? [link] [comments] | ||
| I really hate how this game handles dialogue options Posted: 23 Nov 2019 03:37 AM PST What I mean is when you are presented with 2 dialogue options, but the character you're talking to replies the same way no matter which one you choose. And they're always replying with something that is obviously written so that it would fit both dialogue options. A made up example would be you having to pick between "the sword Pokemon" and "Slumbering Weld" and the character will reply to either with "Right! The sword Pokemon from Slumbering Weld!" I don't know how hard would it be to just make it so that characters have unique dialogue based on what you choose but the way GF is doing it just seems so lazy 😅 [link] [comments] | ||

| Game Freak doesn't understand why people love Eevee Posted: 22 Nov 2019 11:20 AM PST Do you know why most people love Eevee? Eeveelutions, a concept so beloved by fans it has it's own nickname. You could probably start the next World War on favorite Eeveelutions (Sylveon, by the way). It's also fascinating seeing Eeveelutions. It's really interesting seeing how Game Freak designs a Generation 4 or Generation 6 evolution from a Generation 1 Pokemon and still keep it in line with the overall theme. So many people LOVE the Eeveelutions. You see it speculated every time a Generation is about to release , and so many great designs are created by the fans (Champeon, please). That being said, Game Freak has this weird mindset that people only love Eevee. Granted, there are a ton of people that prefer Eevee over it's evolutions, and it's definitely more marketable to just promote Eevee instead of all of it's evolutions. Generation 7 there was no new Eeveelution, and we got a Z-move for Eevee. Cool, I guess. It's nice to see Eevee get some love for it's unevolved form so it can compete with it's older brothers and sisters. Then Pokemon Let's Go Eevee came out. Game Freak promoted the game with Eevee and Pikachu, that's understandable. They're two of the most popular Generation One Pokemon and can easily be comparable. But WHY CAN'T THEY EVOLVE. Do you know how freaking cool of a concept Eevee as a starter is? If your team needs a grass type, bam. Leafeon. If your team has a lack of physical damage, get a Flareon. Need a tank? Umbreon and Sylveon got you covered. It's such an amazing concept that gets completely wasted. And most recently, Sword and Shield. Eevee got a new form where... it got bigger fur, I guess. Do you know how many people WANT new Eeveelutions? Give me a fighting type Champeon, or a cute but deadly Dragon evolution. People love Eevee, but most of the appeal of it is in the fact that it turns into so many different variations. Eevee is great, but seriously, stop. [link] [comments] | ||

Leon the Unbeatable was a Dark Champion with a Charizard, so powerful and so unbeatable he could use his a Charizard to influence the border patrol to ban Pokémon... He had such a knowledge of his unbeatable Charizard that he could even keep the ones he cared about from losing the league challenge despite having three Pokémon. He could actually save people from their own incompetence? The unbeatable side of the Charizard is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. What happened to him? He became so unbeatable... the only thing he was afraid of was being beaten, which eventually, of course, he was. Unfortunately, he taught his Charizard everything he knew, then his Charizard Fire Blasted him in his sleep. It's ironic he could banish other Pokémon from Galar, but not his Charizard... Is it possible to learn this power? Not from a boycotter... [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 23 Nov 2019 07:14 AM PST This post contains a post game spoiler! At the end of the game you will be given a Type: Null in the battle tower. Feed him some curry, and play a bit of fetch, and you'll have yourself the adorable bird-dog-fish-thing Silvally. We all know he was created to be the Ultra Beast killer of Kalos. In this region however, he is the perfect ace for taking down Max Raids. For two big reasons: Multi-Attack was increased from 90 to 120! When you dynamax Silvally, his Multi-Attack will say Max Strike. Rest assured, it will change to to the typing of the memory he's holding. I never really felt like you could use him to take down the UBs. There weren't enough of them to warrant the time training him up, but these Max Raids roll in daily. If you've got a slot open on your team, give this loveable, versatile chimera a chance. He won't let you down. Have fun with those raids! [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 23 Nov 2019 07:54 AM PST So I was a bit curious how bad the dex cut actualy is as there are 400 pokemon in the game but the national dex has something like 800.... Well I did the math and gens 1 through to 7 has 807 pokemon, with meltan and melmetal thats 809. The game has 400 pokemon but 81 of these are new so thats only 319 returning pokemon. Only 39.43% of pokemon survived dexit..... Thanos had more mercy lol [link] [comments] |
