One culled Pokémon family every day until Dexit is reversed - Day 31 Posted: 04 Dec 2019 02:22 AM PST The lore behind the Cubone line is so fascinating. In Lavender Town, there's the spirit of the Marowak who was so angry when it died literally became a ghost. Then there are the RBY Dex entries which state:
Does this mean that all Marowak die in childbirth and the infant immediately take to the bones? Silver's entry ponders that somewhere there's a graveyard the species keep hidden:
And finally, there's the Is Cubone A Kangaskhan theory which has been around for ages and is just bonkers! I always thought Cubone was neat because it used tools but I love that there's so much more going on with this lil dude. [link] [comments]

To the person who surprise traded me their promotional gmax Meowth last night... Posted: 03 Dec 2019 08:57 PM PST I'm willing to bet that was a mistake! I've still got her, she's relaxing in my box with some Pokemon I'm waiting to train. Hopefully this post reaches the person who did this and I can return her to them, I've made this kind of mistake before and it just sucks;; If this happens to reach you, then please DM me! We can try to find a way to return her to you!! EDIT: The OT's name is Zach, and I'll be asking for the ID number as the check to make sure it's the same Zach! [link] [comments]
PSA: It is possible to catch illegal Pokémon in these games without hacking. Posted: 03 Dec 2019 11:52 PM PST Caught a level 17 Sizzlipede in a raid and after breeding it I decided to trade it away. The game is telling me that there's a problem with my Pokémon and it can't be traded. I looked into it and that's because it has X-Scissor. This game doesn't even check for legitimate moves when spawning raids apparently. I am running a vanilla retail version of shield on an unmodded switch lite. [link] [comments]
Arcto & Zolt, the lower and upper half of the Galar Fossils Posted: 04 Dec 2019 09:29 AM PST You guys were asking for the reupload, so here it is! -Arctolasmo is based on Loch-ness monster and Elasmosaurus, one of the few dinos that were part of the infamous Bone Wars and Velocizolt is based on Velociraptor, a "feathered dinosaur" hence the bird classification. Thank you guys for the support really, it keeps me motivated doing these :)) Btw I did some refining to the colors of Zolt and also a bit of its shadow. Arcto, on the other hand, got completely remade because I wasn't satisfied with the first one that I did because there is some disconnect between the half in terms of design. I hope that you find this interesting! [edit: clarification] [link] [comments]

Posted: 04 Dec 2019 08:52 AM PST I'll start this by saying that Sword is the first pokemon game i've ever played, and i'm roughly 50hrs in. My mom didn't really let me play video games, and i never had a game boy or DS or anything like that, so there's still a lot i'm learning about pokemon in general. Anyway i was in Slumbering Weald just wandering around, and it appeared as a little grass flurry that i ran into. It took me a while to catch it, and when i did, i asked my boyfriend why it had different colors. He flipped, told me i caught a shiny, how it took him like 10 years to catch one, and that it was dope that i caught it in a premier ball(i thought they had a better catch rate than poke balls or great balls smh). Another cool thing he pointed out, was that the first pokemon i ever caught in the game/in general was a Rookidee. [link] [comments]
Sword and Shield would be 10x better if there was a romantic subplot between you and Ball Guy Posted: 03 Dec 2019 09:03 PM PST A friend of mine once asked why there was no ability to date Marnie, and I countered with "Why couldn't we date Ball Guy?" As time passed I realized these games would be much better if we had the ability to start a relationship with Ball Guy. He would cheer you on, every time you went onto the field you would look to see his round face cheering you on. Whenever you won he would give you the greatest gift he could: a special Poké Ball, for his special one. Once you became Champion, Ball Guy would give you his final Poké Ball: a Love Ball, to show his love for you. In the end, you would be able to settle down with Ball Guy and truly be happy. You became champion and now get to spend your life with your true love: Ball Guy. EDIT BECAUSE SOMEHOW PEOPLE CAN'T READ FLAIRS: /s [link] [comments]

Vish, the upper part of the Galar Fossils 3/4 Posted: 04 Dec 2019 03:08 AM PST It's not the best but this is how I'd interpret it :) Design Based on UK Submarine (Vanguard-class), Dunkleosteus, Sharks. Name based on Sepeleo (Latin for submerge) and Dunkleosteus. (edit: I'm doing this not because I dislike the Galar fossils, in fact, I enjoy their designs. I love the story and the reference behind it. I'm just doing this because I'd like to imagine what would they look like if they were a complete Pokemon, after all, I'm not paid for creating this. I just love doing these and sharing it with the community) [link] [comments]

Yamper as Fairy type because of a corgi folk legend. And we really like yamper Posted: 03 Dec 2019 07:15 PM PST Was talking to a friend about this folk legend that said Corgis were a gift from woodland fairies. We were a bit a disappointed that Nintendo didn't make Yamper a Fairy type. So here's a take on a fairy type Yamper. [link] [comments]

It really bothers me that trainers don't use full Pokemon teams still to this day Posted: 03 Dec 2019 01:41 PM PST I can understand why (for balance reasons) some early gym leaders may have less than the full 6 Pokemon, but it is incredibly disappointing when you hit basically the very end of the game and you are facing trainers in the Pokemon League challenge that are only using 4 Pokemon. It isn't as if the game is even remotely challenging as-is, but this just makes it more of a joke, and one that doesn't even make any canonical sense. If these trainers are competing to actually win, why are they gimping their own teams? And it just makes Hop and Bede even more annoying when they prattle on and on about being the best trainer evar and still don't have enough sense to use 6 Pokemon. Edit: Note, I should have specified that I am talking about Gym Leaders, Rivals, Boss Battles, etc. Not random trainers on routes/goons. Also the fact that there are no held items on any of these trainers is another disgrace. It would be funny to all of a sudden see one of the gym leaders sweep my team due to use of a weakness policy or even from a berry. But, there is no surprise. It's just mash super-effective moves, yawn, and move on. [link] [comments]
Highest HP in Sword and Shield. Posted: 04 Dec 2019 07:19 AM PST Ok so I suddenly thought which pokemon has the highest HP in Sword and Shield and after researching I found out it's Wobbuffet so I then thought what would it HP be if I max out its lvl, dynamax lvl, HP EVs and then dynamax it. So this is what I got [link] [comments]
Is there a legit reason game freak doesnt add difficulty options? Posted: 04 Dec 2019 05:55 AM PST Seriously I feel like this would solve a lot of issues. Not all of them, but a large majority. I feel like it's so simple, yet they refuse to do it. Is it for the casuals or children? But they can just choose the easiest option. Hell, they could just hide it in the options after you start the game. Anybody have a legit reason? [link] [comments] |
