Regional Variants are here to stay. And Meowth is the only Pokemon to get an alolan and galarian form until now.

That gives me the impression that meowth will be the mascot of regional variants, getting one in every gen that comes.

That is really cool in my opinion. This gives Meowth a bigger status as a face of the Pokemon series, working as a mascot just like pikachu, something he deserves.

That also gives a reason for people to collect, and teaches the concept of regional variants with one constant example to show and compare.

I love meowth, and this idea sound cool to me
