A Pokemon fan who works as a police officer makes crochet Pokemon Posted: 07 Nov 2020 05:11 AM PST This is Angelique, a German police officer and a huge gaming fan who loves Pokemon, decided to crochet Pokemon back in April 2020. Her work is amazing and I recommend checking it out. It takes about 8 to 10 hours to make one and she made eight designs so far. Dark Types Are The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Pokemon Posted: 07 Nov 2020 06:32 AM PST Wrote about my thoughts on Dark type Pokemon, which are by far the most important type to ever grace the series. Worth mentioning they're not my favourite type, so I'm not being biased for no reason here - keen to see if people agree/disagree. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Nov 2020 12:55 AM PST I like Sequels better than Remakes. I like them better because I Like seeing the characters we grew with in the First games. Like in Black and White 2, it's satisfying seeing Bianca and Cheren. Because they were once our rivals. Just imagine going through Galar, and instead of Battling Opal, You battle Bede. And Instead of fighting Piers, You fight Marnie, and you Earn your badge from both. And seeing Kabu still being as Fierce as he normally is, Raihan, Milo, Nessa. It would be amazing to see them again, but in Sequels. I wouldn't Imagine Melony or Allister being gym leaders for some reason, but it would be cool to See Peony as a Gym leader, Because of Chairman Rose leaving the League, Peony would be able to enjoy being in the League again. Rather than going through the story again, I'd like to see a continuation of it. I'd Also like To See Mustard, Avery, Klara on the Isle of Armour again. I'm not sure if anyone agree's with me, but I just wanted say this. [link] [comments] |
Pokémon snap has amazing graphics Posted: 07 Nov 2020 10:41 AM PST Honestly looking at the new Pokémon snaps graphics really amazes me. The definition and texture and the way The world is set up is so immersive , especially considering how the trailer was released only about a year and a half after swsh. It gives me someone to hope for In the next series of main games, but also makes me a little nervous that the graphics and immersive style won't be implemented into the next game [link] [comments] |
The most difficult gym leader of each game Posted: 07 Nov 2020 01:18 AM PST I've done a lot of Vanilla playthroughs, i'm just not a nuzlocke guy. So i figured with the amounts of times i played each game, i'll rank each game's most difficult gym leader from my experience. Red/Blue: SabrinaIt's an obvious one, really. Psychic is the most dangerous type in gen I, since there is no real counter and she uses Alakazam AND Kadabra which are both very potent sweepers. Luckily the AI is really bad in Gen I so most of the time none of the arena matches are a problem. Yellow: KogaI only played Yellow twice but i remember how shocked i was when i realised that Koga's Pokemon were above 43. I was 10 lvl under and all of those Venonats know Psychic. It's a tough fight because even a Fire Pokemon isn't gonna immediately save you. It was either him or Sabrina again but her Abra is useless so i decided for Koga. Gold/Silver/Crystal: WhitneyWe all know that the 3rd badge takes the cake because that Miltank is a monster. It has a strong STAB Move, heals itself, has excellent stats for this time in the game and if you have male Pokemon then you're especially screwed. Luckily, you can either get the Machop from the trade in the Mall or (if you're lucky) catch a Heracross and counter her that way. But there is no real counter to that cow. You deserve to cry, Whitney... Ruby/Saphire: Tate&LizaFor this one i wasn't sure whether to pick Watson or the twins but looking back the twins i had more trouble with most of the time. That changed in emerald, though...It's rather simple: Calm Mind + Hypnosis. Also, Solrock knows Sunny Day so Water Attacks aren't as helpful as you might have originally thought. The best way to counter them is by having a Gardevoir that knows Calm Mind and Thunderbolt or simply use Shadow Ball (i always had a Crobat that knew it) Firered/Leafgreen: MistyMisty becomes a much much larger threat in Gen 3 due to Water Pulse and better AI. Her Staryu can usually be one-shot with a decent Pokemon but unless you have a good Grass Type the Starmie is gonna be a tough opponent. It heals, has Water Pulse and ihatethisfightialwaysgodoMajorBobslaughtereveryoneonMSAnneandthendestroyherwithmyoverlvldTeamwoivhqwehuooio. Emerald: WatsonWhoever the person at Game Freak was who thought it'd be a great idea to give the 3rd badge a team of 4 Pkmn with 2 fully evolved ones is a sadist. Unless you picked Mudkip as your starter this fight is gonna screw you over big time since there's no Ground type Pokemon you can catch before this fight other than Geodude. If you have one it becomes mostly a cakewalk since his Pokemon's only strong moves are electric type moves. Also, Shock Wave never missing is a huge deal: No Double Team strats. Diamond/Pearl: FantinaShe has an awfully annoying team. Driftblim knows an ervasion boost move and has a ton of HP + Ominous Wind, which boosts all stats. If you don't get it quickly off the table it might become a larger threat. Gengar can suprise with its physical moveset and is fast. Then there's Mismagius. Just a potent tool of destruction with STAB Shadow Ball, confuse ray and 2 other coverage moves. To add to the difficulty leveling in these games sucks. Unless you specifically seek out all trainers in the region or take training sessions you WILL be underleveld for this fight. Luckily there's quite a few Mons to counter her Platinum: Crasher WakeFunny how it's the 5th badge once again. Anyways: Gyarados is always a bad time. Brine on 2 of his Pokemon is a huge threat and his Floatzel knows some pretty strong moves. Quagsire is alright but its bulkiness can be annoying to deal with. Heartgold/soulSilver: ClairI was really uncertain who to pick for this one. I didn't pick Whitney again because of the introduction of the Phyiscal/Special mechanic and moveset changes to many Pokemon, her Miltank becomes less of a threat. Chuck was a good candidate but most of the time he completely loses to birds or Psychic Pokemon. However Clair now has a Gyarados and her Kingdra is still very annoying and strong. Fairy didn't exist yet and getting a powerful Dragon Pokemon was tough.Luckily Ice Attacks help and you can get the Friday Lapras in Union Cave, which is a huge help. Get Thunder from the Mall for Lapras and it will most likely destroy her team. Black/White: ClayThis one was a tough one because there's a lot of tough leaders in this game. In the end i decided for Clay rather than Elesa due to his team generally being strong and Excadrill being the monster it is even without a boost. If you catch a Deerling it can help a lot in this battle but yeah... Mole stays a problem. Black2/White2: DraydenI felt like Clay wasn't as much of a problem in this one anymore but Dragons are still terrifiyng so Drayden takes the cake. Flygon is always a threat, nothing more to say. If Haxorus gets out a Dragon Dance, consider yourself done for unless you can outspeed it. The best counter here is to catch a Lapras at Village Bridge. Skarmory is also very effective but Flamethrower is bad news. X/Y: There's no tough gym leader. Omega Ruby/Alpha Saphire: NormanPretty much the same as X/Y. The only reason i picked a leader is if you don't have Protect then Slaking can be quite dangerous to deal with. But that's pretty much the win condition: Protect Sun/Moon: AcerolaThe spoopy Ghosts win once again. Mallow and Lana were also good cancidates but i decided against them in the end. Mostly because Mimikyu is strong, his ability annyoing, good moveset and it can call in Pokemon with Hypnosis. Ultrasun/Ultramoon: AcerolaPretty much the same as Sun and Moon except Jellicent and Banette instead of Gengar Evo-line. Just kill the SOS Pokemon as fast as possible and watch out for that nasty Mimikyu. Which also knows Leech Life now, so be aware of that. **Sword/Shield: Once again no real toughy.**But if anyone is at least annoying it's probably Raihan due to weather effects, Flygon and STAB Steel Attacks. That's it, cya.EDIT: Forgot the Remakes. [link] [comments] |
Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra Population Posted: 07 Nov 2020 08:02 AM PST Both of these places are quite underpopulated with the Isle of Armor only having 29 people while Crown Tundra has 20. Isle of Armor Population breakdown (both are post-game) Master Dojo 18 Crown Tundra population breakdown Freezington 10 let me know if I made any mistakes. [link] [comments] |
What would you be most excited about if we got sinnoh remakes? Posted: 07 Nov 2020 07:33 AM PST I'm going to assume we are pretty much getting some. Maybe not next year (though rumors feel promising), maybe not even the next time, but I'm almost certain they will happen. What about that excites you the most? Personally I'm excited to see the distortion world on switch graphics, and of course the Cynthia battle. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 07 Nov 2020 10:52 AM PST So I just got through the process of moving all my Pokémon I've kept stored in my 3DS, which date back to gen 3, to Pokémon Home via Pokémon Bank. I was just looking around at some of them and found a Meganium I received in a trade at some point in gen 4 (either diamond or platinum) from a stranger via WiFi. Back in those days I used to be on Serebii's trade chat room constantly trading and was much younger and unaware of Pokémon hacking and all that jazz. Anyway, I realized that I got this prior to the gen 2 remakes being made and it's summary says "first met in Sinnoh." Was there even a way to get a Chikorita in Sinnoh that I'm missing? I'm assuming if it was hacked it wouldn't have made it through all the various transfer systems used over the years since gen 4. Any thoughts? [link] [comments] |
I finally got the game! Can't wait to try it out and explore Gen 8 Posted: 07 Nov 2020 12:44 AM PST |
I’m Building A Pokemon Theme Park Posted: 07 Nov 2020 11:48 AM PST Would love to hear some feedback. I'm using the game guide for Let's Go as the reference point and I plan on having themed rides to certain Pokemon/gyms in each area, so a water ride for Misty's gym, etc. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Does this team look okay for singles ranked battles? Posted: 07 Nov 2020 08:36 AM PST I've tested this team on Showdown and it works pretty well, only lost to a team with toxapex, so I'm wondering how to counter that. I think I'm going to replace whimsicott, but I don't know what to replace it with. The team: https://pokepast.es/6cf9e4fffb39ebaa [link] [comments] |
The Galar region’s climate makes no sense!! Posted: 07 Nov 2020 02:46 AM PST I don't know if I'm the only one who's confused by this, or even cares. The northernmost region of Galar is Wyndon. In order to get there you've got to go through mountains and freezing cold temperatures. So I must admit, I was a bit confused when the train to the Crown Tundra headed south, and it's super cold there. Then I started thinking about the wild weather patterns in the wild area(no pun intended), and I started to get even more confused. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this could be? Are there any real world examples that could explain the wacky weather in Galar?! [link] [comments] |
Help - Old Magazine - Mewtwo front cover Posted: 07 Nov 2020 08:06 AM PST Can anyone help? Looking for a magazine which had Mewtwo on the front cover and was shiny purple. It also had the complete Johto Pokédex inside. Trying to find an image on the internet so I can maybe track down a copy but can't for the life of me find it or know what the magazine was called! What would be some of the strategically best dual-type teams? Posted: 06 Nov 2020 10:53 PM PST To clarify because "dual-type team" might be a little ambiguous, I just mean that you pick two types and every pokemon on the team has to be one (or both) of those types. Personally, I think teams like these are a lot more interesting than a mono-type team because there are so many combinations, but they still stick to a strict theme which is cool to me. So I'm curious what would be some good strategic pairings. Types that cover each other's weaknesses would obviously be great, and you could also go for some basic rock/ground sandstorm or fire/grass sun team type strats or other things where the types synergize in ways apart from just weaknesses and resistances. Thanks for any input! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 06 Nov 2020 11:10 PM PST Holy shit, this track is beyond amazing. It doesn't even sound like something from a Pokemon game. Gen 5's soundtrack absolutely kills it overall, but this track here somehow takes it to the next level. I didn't even know you could get to another level with these tracks. I'm glad to have taken this trip down Memory Lane. [link] [comments] |
