My son is 3 and has seen part of Journeys and today he just finished all of Alola.

And he. Is. Distraught. That Ash left all of his newly captured Pokémon with Kukui.

I've played all the games, but never really got into the show. Is this common? Is this the device they use so that Ash can have new TM's each new Season.

To be honest I'm a little pissed too. My son got super attached to Lycanroc.
