This week's Pokemon is Inteleon!

#818 Inteleon (Japanese インテレオン Intereon)

Jujitsu Pokémon

A body made up of nothing but muscle makes the grappling moves this Pokémon performs with its tentacles tremendously powerful. Searching for an opponent to test its skills against, it emerges onto land. Once the battle is over, it returns to the sea.

Introduction:

Inteleon is unfortunately considered the worst out of the Galar starter trio. The major thing going for it is its high special attack and speed which allows it to act as a wallbreaker that can punish teams without a solid water-resistant Pokémon. Luckily, it still has moves like U-Turn for momentum and the obvious Hydro Pump for damage. However, the rest of Inteleon's movepool is severely lacking, only having the limited coverage options of Shadow Ball and Air Slash. Not to mention that its signature move, Snipe Shot, is outclassed by the other water type moves it has access to. Even its best ability, Torrent, is difficult to take advantage of with its paper-thin defenses. Inteleon wasn't given as much love as the rest of the trio, but still has the potential to become a more threatening wallbreaker if given the right tools.
