[Theme Talk] Design A Mythical Pokemon Encounter! Posted: 17 Nov 2020 09:00 PM PST This is an /r/pokemon themed topic thread—look for new theme discussions on the sub every Wednesday! Check out Opinion Wednesday on the /r/pokemon Discord Server to talk in real time! Topic: Design A Mythical Pokémon Encounter! In the Crown Tundra, you can find Keldeo in the game after you obtain all of the Swords of Justice. This is the first time you can battle and catch this formerly event-locked Pokémon, and the second time a former event-exclusive was directly featured outside of an event. Those who played Diamond/Pearl/Platinum might remember when event Pokémon were featured in the game itself, a feature that was scrapped with the release of Pokémon X and Y. However, this new feature opens up the opportunity again to feature mythical Pokémon within the game itself, even if that mythical Pokémon was from a generation prior. If you could design the in-game encounter for an existing Event-locked/mythical Pokémon. How would you go about it? What would be required to find it? How would the battle be like? Would there be a plot involved, like Deoxys and Darkrai? Or would it be more of an easter egg, like Keldeo's appearance in the Crown Tundra? [link] [comments] | ||
